Sak yant dominates Hood’s portfolio, and the quality is immediately obvious. The linework is consistently clean and precise, whether it’s a twin tiger chest piece with rows of Khom script, a full back composition with Buddha figures and naga serpents, or an elaborate Hanuman battle scene on ribs. He handles large-scale sacred Thai work with the kind of steady hand that Sak Yant demands.

The other side of Hood’s work is fine line and minimalist tattooing – small, clean, deliberate pieces that reward a careful hand. He also produces blackwork and illustrative designs with a playful edge at ALL DAY Tattoo Bangkok.

Born and raised in Bangkok, Hood discovered tattooing at a friend’s vintage motorbike shop and has been at it for around two decades. When he’s not at the studio, he’s restoring vintage cars and bikes or spending time with his two kids, always smiling.
